Nothing Else Matters was written by American heavy metal band Metallica, who released it as their third single from their self-titled album ‘Metallica’ (also commonly known as ‘The Black Album’). The song went on to peak at number 11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and to become one of Metallica’s best-known songs.

This song has some challenges in it, but ultimately it’s made up of a very simple chord progression in E minor. Nothing Else Matters has a somewhat classical feel about it at times and the bridge reminds me of Spanish Romance.
