In this lesson we’re going to learn how to play a fingerstyle arrangement of My Hero.

This song appears on the Foo Fighters’ third studio album The Shape and the Colour (1997) and, as Dave Grohl says, it’s about ordinary people that are heroes. It has long been one of the band’s biggest songs and is a huge show stopper at many of their concerts.

It makes for a great fingerstyle arrangement! Although it’s a little tricky at times, it’s still so much fun to play. If you’re around the intermediate level and above then I’m confident you’ll love fingerpicking your way though this one.

Alright, let’s pick up our guitars and learn how to play My Hero!
