This is the full fingerstyle guitar lesson for my song I Ain’t Blue.

This is a song I wrote back in 2019 after an epic 4,000 mile bike trip across Europe. We had such a great time, slowly cycling our way through all these wonderful countries, meeting people and creating memories that will surely last a lifetime. Although this is a somewhat bluesy song, when I was writing it I couldn’t help but think how I really wasn’t blue in any way!

I Ain't Blue Guitar Lesson

It’s a really fun one to play this, tricky at times but feels great once you’ve got it down! The thumb has to work pretty hard throughout and is always alternating across the bass strings. If you find that challenging, you might want to isolate it and practise that on its own to really develop good independence. Other than that, just have fun and enjoy it!
