Williams released Hey, Good Lookin’ in 1951, and the song went on to reach the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles. It has since been covered by many famous artists, such as Jimmy Buffet and the Mavericks.

It works for a great, fun fingerstyle arrangement and this one is perfect for any fingerpicker around the intermediate level and above.

Hey, Good Lookin' Fingerstyle Guitar Lesson

There’s just four chords that make up this song – F#7, B7, E and A. The F#7 and B7 are barre chords so you’ll need some good grip-strength to be able to play the arrangement comfortably. It also has an alternating bass going on throughout, so it’s a fantastic one to learn if you want to work on developing a strong and independent thumb.
