In this lesson we’re going to learn how to play a fun fingerstyle arrangement of Half the World Away by Oasis.

This song was written by Noel Gallagher in 1994 and was the B-side to Whatever. It eventually found its way onto their album Masterplan in 1998, which featured some of the band’s most popular B-sides.

Being such a stripped down song, it makes for a lovely acoustic fingerstyle arrangement that I’m sure you’re going to love playing. I’d say that this one’s best suited to the intermediate and above fingerstyle player.

Let’s now pick up our guitars and learn how to play Half the World Away!

Half the World Away Guitar Lesson (Part One)

OK, let’s get into it! One thing to note before you get going is that this arrangement does have some reasonably large stretches in it. If you find yourself struggling, just know that you can always push the capo up a few more frets to help make them a little smaller.
