In this lesson we’re going to learn how to play a fingerstyle arrangement of Radiohead’s most successful song, Creep.
Creep was written by frontman Thom Yorke in the late 1980s and the song appears on the band’s first studio album, Pablo Honey (1993). Although it wasn’t initially a success, it eventually became one of the biggest hits of the ’90s and remains a hugely popular and well-known song around the world to this day.
This arrangement is great fun to play and I’d say that it’s best suited to the intermediate fingerpicker and above. The entire song is made up of just four chords – G, B, C and Cm. They cycle continuously round and round with the hauntingly beautiful melody sung over the top. You’re going to love playing it!
