This is the guitar lesson for April Come She Will.

Paul Simon wrote this beautiful little song in 1964 whilst he was living in England and the song appears on Simon & Garfunkel’s second studio album Sounds of Silence (1966).

This song is great fun to play and I’d say that it’s around the intermediate level for fingerpickers.

April Come She Will Guitar Lesson

Much of the verse is just one fingerpicking pattern being played across a reasonably straightforward chord progression, this makes things relatively easy for the picking hand. Watch out, however, for some of the rhythmic ideas that Simon has used in the intro/outro, it may take a bit of work to really get comfortable with them.
