Dear Marie appears on John Mayer’s 2013 album Paradise Valley. It’s a great fun one to play and not as hard as some of his other acoustic hits.

Emoji of a Wave appears on Mayer’s 2017 album The Search for Everything. It’s a beautiful song that’s great fun to play on your acoustic guitar. Perfect learning if you’re at the intermediate player.

Tom Petty wrote Free Fallin’ with Jeff Lynne in 1989 and John Mayer’s cover of it is simply superb. It can be found on his album Live at the Nokia Theatre.

This song makes for a great and really fun to play fingerstyle arrangement. Whilst highly enjoyable, it’s also pretty challenging and technical so I certainly don’t recommend it for beginners. But if you’re at an intermediate level and fancy a challenge then dive in!

This is not a song for beginners by any means – there’s a huge amount to learn and so many techniques you need to know. So buckle up and prepare yourself as you learn to master this brilliant song!

Queen of California is the second single from John Mayer’s fifth studio album Born and Raised. It’s such a cool song and I’m sure you’re going to love playing it all day long!

Stop This Train is one of John Mayer’s best-known acoustic songs and it’s such a joy to play. It’s pretty tricky at times but once you’ve got the picking technique down it gets a lot easier to play.

John Mayer wrote Slow Dancing in a Burning Room and the song appears on his 2006 album Continuum. Although it was never released as a single, it has become one of his best-known and most successful songs.

John Mayer wrote The Age of Worry and the song appears on his 2012 album Born and Raised. This one’s a lot of fun to play and not too hard compared to some of his other acoustic songs.

The Heart of Life appears on Mayer’s hugely successful 2006 album Continuum and although this song wasn’t a single, it still became one of his most loved songs amongst his fans.

Released as a single for Battle Studies, Who Says is another acoustic classic from John Mayer. If you’ve already learnt how to play Stop This Train then you should be OK with this one.

This song appears on Room for Squares and is a real Mayer classic. It’s certainly fiddly at times but like all his songs is great fun to play once you’ve cracked it.
